Our mission
About Ahazi Reborn
A dedicated pre-CU SWGEMU server, bringing a few concepts to SWG that are not currently mainstream.
Difficulty
This game was difficult in the past, but only because game-mechanics knowledge wasn't widespread. That's no longer the case. We are dedicated to creating challenging PVE content and a competitive PVP environment. Mobs will be tougher, and dungeons that were virtually unused are now teeming with high-level sentients that will pose a challenge — or even be impossible — to the solo or unprepared player.
Engaging Economy
Most SWG servers end up with stale economies: credits get devalued and resources are hoarded by the millions. We are implementing more places to sink your credits. Automated gathering will be more difficult and costly, crafting will take more resources, and under-utilized resources will now be required for specialty crafts. Harvesters will be adjusted for lower BER rates with higher operating costs; hand sampling gets a small boost.
Stronger Equipment
For a long time, equipment has been unchanged in pre-CU for fear of unbalancing the game — then something legendary drops and unbalances it anyway. Buffs, stims, weapons, armor and DOTs will all have the potential to become stronger than stock. The average will be hiked up, along with dependence on diverse groups of players. We'll also ensure that when something legendary drops, it doesn't totally eclipse everything else.
Player Hubs
We are looking at how player hubs become hubs, adding things to bring ATK cantina players back. We don't want to force ATK buffers or remove AFK buffers — we'd rather make it reasonably better to be ATK. If you're a social player, come chat with the players buffing in the cantinas and med centers, or start a career as an entertainer yourself.
Mystery
Bring me back to the days before wikis and video guides. We're making changes to bring a little of the unknown back into SWG. Explore everything, check everywhere. Eggs will be sprinkled all over the planets, and most will not be referenced in patch notes. You will simply have to play the game to find what has been placed where.
If our goals are met it will mean: crafters always lack resources and spend a lot of credits; entertainers will want to be ATK and chatting people up for tips; scouts and rangers will be scouring planets for the next hide/bone/meat for their customers; looters will be seeking friends to tackle the next dungeon; and PVPers will be good sports and courteous to their fellow players — because without them, they will lack equipment and resources.
