Server Rules
Keep it fair, keep it fun. An admin's word is law, and proof beats hearsay.
-
Respect the Admins
Above anything else, an admin's word is law. Any disagreement with an admin should be directed to Wyvern or the head CSR only. Do not argue, debate or talk back in chat. Interfering in normal gameplay is a last resort, done only when absolutely necessary — so when a CSR shows themselves in game, it's for a reason. The same goes for Discord: admins will not tolerate debate or argument in chat, and you will not be warned before you lose your chat privileges.
-
Respect Everyone Else
Any and all interactions with another person, on Discord or in game, will be done with respect. Heavy trash talk in public channels will not be tolerated. Very mild back-and-forths are alright, but not with swearing or other obscenities and not in excess. No threats to someone's person or family, ever. Personal comments are never alright. Spatial chat will be the only place acceptable for heavier trash talk — and being decent about it is the only requirement. If you'd hear it said while playing COD with unsupervised 12-year-olds, it's probably not acceptable here.
-
Play the Game as Intended
Using any game mechanics that were not intended is prohibited. These should be reported as bugs, and not used under any circumstances. We all know what is intended and what is not. Penalties for exploiting will be severe — especially when it harms other players' gameplay.
-
Dealing with Pests
This server will give players the ability to "deal" with pests and potential threats in game. We will have city warn and TEF systems, polished at launch. Use of city warn will be a privilege that will not be abused. It won't be taken from the whole server, but it can be removed from a city that is abusing it.
-
Gather Proof of Misuse
Do not bother admins with things that can be resolved in game, with in-game mechanics. Issues that do not involve misuse of chat, exploiting or ACTUAL griefing will be ignored. Bring proof of repeated offenses — screenshots and video, with time and date. Without proof, a complaint will be ignored in almost all circumstances. Losing in PVP repeatedly, or Jedi being stalked by bounty hunters, will not be considered griefing.
-
Griefing
Griefing does not exist if you are flagged for PVP, attackable by other players due to anything other than a bug, if you attacked first, or if you were trash talking to begin with. "Grief" is an overused term in today's gaming communities.
-
Harassment
Harassment will be defined as expected. Do not spam other players, consistently email other players, or follow a non-PVPable player without a reasonable purpose. Use your best sense — or someone else's, if you don't have any.
